BounceEnglish was begun by two best friends who wanted to bring their vision of inclusive educational practices to the world. We believe that the human beings in our classrooms should be at the heart of every lesson, and that this, coupled with strong pedagogical foundations, is the secret to effective teaching and learning.

Melanie Johnson
Founder

I have taught for over 15 years at various institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia. I have trained teachers and students from over 65 countries and my previous clients have included Fidelity Investments, the European Union Parliament, Middle Eastern Princes and a Japanese pop star.
I have a MA in TESOL/Applied Linguistics from King’s College London and Cambridge CELTA and DELTA certificates.
I have also consulted on various educational materials for Oxford University Press and have served as an IELTS examiner an academic advisor and leader at large language school in North America.
Amy Swanson
Founder

I have over 17 years of experience leading software implementations and product management for healthcare data management solutions. My clients included Fortune 100 communications and aerospace companies, as well as mid-size and start-up organizations.
But before all that, and after completing college, I spent a year teaching English in Shanghai.
